Bridging Support and Trust
Saray Karakus is the driving force behind ECP’s community-facing support, serving as a consistent and trusted presence for local families. Her work spans crisis response, outreach, and mobilisation—ensuring that those facing barriers can access the support they need. From delivering ESOL classes to over 65 learners and coordinating weekly food distributions for 120+ families, to offering hands-on casework around housing, immigration, and benefits, Saray’s role is both wide-ranging and deeply personal.
She has also played a vital part in large-scale outreach efforts, including leading logistics for Health Heroes Unite—engaging over 500 residents—and mobilising over 20 volunteers for ECP-led activities. Whether helping with GP registrations or strengthening service connections, Saray’s persistence, empathy, and action-led approach have made her an essential bridge between the community and vital services.
